The following criteria must be met in order for students to be promoted to the next grade:

Grade 6

• All students must demonstrate proficiency in Reading and Math. This may be done in several ways. The students may achieve a Level II in Reading and Math on the
• Standardized tests given in the Spring or demonstrate proficiency by successfully passing English and Math. Combinations of the above will also demonstrate proficiency.
• All students must attain a 90% Rate of attendance

Grade 7

• All students must demonstrate Proficiency Level II in standardized ELA and Mathematics assessments test given in the Spring.

Grade 8

• All students must pass all four core subjects (English, Math, Social Studies and Science)
• All students must successfully complete an Exit Project in which they will be required to make a written and oral presentation incorporating technology.
• All students must demonstrate proficiency in Reading and Math by achieving at least a Level II on the State tests in Reading and Math
• All students must attain a 90% Rate of Attendance

Grade 8

• All students must earn 8 credits. This may be done by successfully passing any subject which meets a minimum of 5 times per week.
• All students must attain a 90% Rate of Attendance
