Student

I have nothing but good memories of this school. There were a few special teachers. Mr. Cohen who was the gym/health education/Science teacher, had a passion for teaching, Miss Singer who became Mrs. Weiner was very memorable. She taught spanish and to this day I can still remember the first 5 dialogs of my very first spanish text book. Mrs. Voytek who was also my spanish teacher one year. The teachers I don't remember that much I really enjoyed were the art and music teachers. Because of them I continue through high school a passion for art and singing. Unfortunately my family relocated the last year of school and I didn't graduate at IS 237 but I did see some of the teachers the last year at another local junior high school. I hope other student have just as many happy memories as I did. I would really like to touch base with Mrs. Weiner and/or Mrs. Voytek sometime in the future if it is all possible. I know that Mr. Cohen is watching over me to this day and my thoughts are with him.
